In life, if you must achieve your individual goals, it’s always necessary to feel you are on the right path, no matter the stage you are. While pursuing these individual goals, we tend to come across signs of fear and discomfort as we grow and we are always quick to mistake those signs for unhappiness and dissatisfaction. We may start thinking that it would be a complete waste of time to carry on with that individual goal pursuit after coming across those signs of fear and discomfort, as a result of that, we may decide to pull back from the cliff and try to deal with issues that do not exist in the first place, instead of understanding that those signs of fear are mere embodiment of change.
Once we are able to understand what these signs of fear and discomfort are, we can continue to pursue our individual goals with persistency and success. To help understand this in detail, let’s take a look at those uncomfortable signs that clearly indicate you are on the right path.
1. BEING UNSURE OF WHO YOU REALLY ARE.
There are times and some situations in life when we become unsure of ourselves, especially during times of change or difficulties, instead of taking it as an indication that you are suffering from lack of self-confidence or self esteem, see it as an indication that you are transforming as an individual and experiencing the kind of self-improvement that is necessary for growth. Quite frankly, this can be an uncomfortable process, but as time goes by, your values and goals tend to change.
2. BEING AFRAID WHEN YOU STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE
This happens to almost everyone, whenever you are about to take on a new challenge, you are most likely to experience an unmistaken sense of fear and uncertainty, these things hit the inner part of your belief and self-confidence. This is simply a reaction to stepping outside your comfort zone and embracing the unfamiliar, however, it is also a clear indication that you are opening your mind and on the right path.
3. HAVING RANDOM AND IRRATIONAL FEELINGS
This is usually said to be an indication of emotional turmoil and instability, but this is not necessarily the case. Violent expression of emotion or sadness, in this case, simply means that you have feelings that need to be recognized , after the irrational outburst, you can overcome them and the emotional barriers that they relate to. In this respect, these feelings are little more than signs that you are identifying and working through issues.
4. FEELING LOST AND AIMLESS
It’s often mistaken that the sense of feeling lost and aimless is a symbol of depression , but in this case, the opposite may be true. It in fact indicates that you are becoming more present in your life. Although this makes you feel as though you are aimless, you are actively reconsidering that the future paths are open to you in the future.
5. BEING EMPOWERED TO SPEAK UP AND DEFEND YOURSELF
As you go further in life, you may also develop a desire to defend yourself and stand up to those who question you. This kind of passion comes off as you achieve more in life and become a more assured individual, as the idea of being disrespected or walked over becomes increasingly unpalatable. In essence, stand your ground and showcase far great hold on your own belief and values.
